Style Is Our Superpower

Art Director

In 2025, the highly anticipated Met Gala theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” proves to be more than a style reference for modern men. It’s ode to how they have reshaped identity, masculinity, and self-expression to fit who they truly are, not what society prescribes.

What would it look like if fashion brands co-created the moment and explored how clothing, grooming, and culture have long been tools of resistance, reflection, and refinement in the lives of black men and families?

For generations, style has been a tool of resistance within the Black community—a bold act of reclaiming power, dignity, and visibility.

To many, style is liberation — a layer of armor, a powerful form of self-expression.

As we move through the world, it stands at the forefront, just like our Black skin.

We cannot change our skin, and we’ve never wanted to. But through our style, our garments, and our creativity, we’ve always reshaped how the world sees us.
